Conophytum verrucosum (Succulents)

Considered without doubt one of the most beautiful and sought-after species of the genus, due to its main characteristics it is often attributed also to the genus Ophtalmophyllum. Consisting of a single extremely fleshy leaf and the warty apex (from which the name of the species), it has the upper surface, pleasantly rounded and completely windowed: that is, the apex is almost transparent, it is a stratagem that serves precisely to the plant to absorb sunlight and spread it to the depth of the stem, which in nature often remains underground to protect itself from the environment. The entire epidermis is tinged with a very characteristic reddish-brown, impossible to confuse, which contrasts pleasantly with its large white daisies. This species is as much loved as it is small: the body does not exceed 2 cm in height and diameter, just like a real jewel with a breathtaking look!
