Caralluma hybrid (Succulents)

The name assigned to this exemplar indicates the fact that it is a hybrid, that is a cross between different types of Apocynacea, not present in nature but generated in nursery to obtain an absolutely original plant, never exactly identical to another and, for this reason, extremely appreciated by collectors as a unique exemplar! It has typical columnar and slender stems, which do not reach remarkable heights but at times tend to bend or to assume extravagant trends. The ribs, rather asymmetrical, are enriched by tubercles ending in small indentations. Very often the green epidermis of Caralluma tends to tinge with an intense violet when abundantly exposed to sunlight, for an always new and great effect appearance.
