Agave x arizonica (Succulents)

Extremely rare succulent, this Agave encloses in its name its "double" origin: it has been found in small and specific areas of Arizona, but is thought to have been the result of spontaneous hybridizations on the spot, probably occurred between Agave chrysantha and Agave toumeyana. Characterized by very slow growth, which helps to make the exemplar very rare to be found, it is a plant with a typical rosette arrangement that retains a rather small size. It is formed by long and lanceolate leaves, rigid and ending at the apex in a large brownish sting. The epidermis, of an intense emerald green, contrasts pleasantly with the finely delineated edges of reddish-brown, almost as if they were drawn.
