Agave pumila (Succulents)

Beautiful succulent characterized by a very particular dimorphic phase, the juvenile and the mature form are indeed very different from each other: you will think to have, over the years, two different plants! During the growth, which lasts for almost a decade, you will enjoy a pretty rosette, not very large, made up of short and thick, smooth and pointed leaves, of a nice greyish-green enriched by pleasant stripes on the lower surface. Faint reddish or sometimes light microscopic thorns are present along the edges of the foliage. Only when Agave pumila has reached mature age its leaves will lengthen, reaching over 40 cm in nature, and the rosette will open and be tinged with lighter shades of green, enriched by white leathery margins that end in a robust dark sting.
