Beautiful succulent of medium size, consisting of the typical compact rosette arrangement with leaves that widen outwards as they move away from the center, where they are instead rigidly pointing upwards. Each leaf is wide and rather flat, slightly curved like a spoon and ending in a very long dark sting, in perfect harmony with the short blackish teeth that dot the margins. The skin of A. chiapensis is a beautiful emerald green, less glaucous than other species of the genus, and is protected by a sort of whitish plum that makes it opaque and gives it an even more delicate and elegant look!
