Adromischus marianae (Succulents)

The name of the genus Adromischus derives from the Greek words "adros" that means "abundant" and "mischòis" that means "stem", in fact this plant is characterized by thick tufts of leaves growing along a central stem. Its elongated obovate leaves, generally rough to the touch, can have a slight groove on the upper side, and can assume various shades of green, often with red or brownish spots and speckles determined by the growing conditions. This succulent plant develops a tuberous root over time where it stores water to survive during periods of drought. Flowering occurs on small and long stems, blooming with tubular flowers.
