It is a cactus vulgarly called 'Penis Cactus', 'Saint Peters Penis', 'The More Sensual of Cacti'. Its light green stem branches out, creating new suckers from spiny areoles. At the base it has sparse spines that disappear as the plant grows, showing a smooth, glabrous stem with an indentation at the apex. T.Bridgesii monstrous along the whole stem has small dry spots. It is a plant of easy cultivation suitable for neophytes. Synonym: Echinopsis lageniformis
