Sulcorebutia mentosa f. monstrous (Monstrous)

The monstrous shape of this cactus presents geometric anomalies, for example asymmetrical protuberances or absence of spines, different for each individual plant, so much so as to make each of them absolutely unique and for this extremely sought after by collectors. With a characteristic mint green or deep dark green colour, this cactus has one of the largest heads of its kind, which can reach even 7 cm in diameter and can be found alone or, when it is quite large, also surrounded by shoots. This appreciated cactus has long dark red thorns that protrude well straight outwards and, in spring, is characterized by funnel-shaped cherry flowers, strongly ornamental and able to adorn your locations much longer than other cacti!
