The monstrous shape of this cactus presents geometric anomalies, for example asymmetrical protuberances or absence of spines, different for each individual exemplar , so much so as to make each of them absolutely unique and for this extremely sought after by collectors. It is a peculiar cacti native to the tropical dry forests located at 600-1900 meters above sea level. It is a columnar cactus that can reach a height of 40 cm, whose green stem is completely covered by multiple thorns ranging from white to brown. In spring, pink or purple flowers bloom, forming a graceful crown around the apex of the plant.
