The monstrous shape of a cactus presents anomalies, for example some asymmetries in the stem, diversity of thorns or particular protuberances that make that exemplar absolutely unique and never identical to others, for this reason extremely sought after by true experts. Also known as Mammillaria camptotricha f. brevispina, even the normal shape is rather rare and very appreciated by collectors for the characteristic shape of its thorns. This cactaceae has a flattened posture that tends to form some agglomerates at the base, is composed of several fleshy tubercles with a cylindrical shape, on the tips of which grow small and short orange thorns shaped like a cross. It produces white and fragrant flowers embedded in the tubercles.
