In its monstrous form, colored E. presents shape anomalies such as asymmetries or reliefs; which make it unique in its kind. In addition to this, the plant also presents yellowish variegations, in the exact points of the epidermis where there is a lack of chlorophyll. With these two characteristics the exemplar is very appreciated for its appearance and is sought after by collectors all over the world. In the normal form E. colorata is a succulent with a rosette arrangement, with fleshy green-blue leaves ending with a tip. After prolonged exposure to the sun it takes on reddish shades or shades. The surface of the plant is covered by a whitish plum that makes it even more special.
