The crested shape of this succulent has a typical fan shape, which makes each specimen very particular and highly appreciated by green collectors. Its name was chosen in honor of the German botanist Theodor Harms. In its classic form it is a small shrub with rosettes, arranged at the ends of the branches, consisting of fleshy, narrow and elongated leaves, of a green color, enriched with bright red borders; the foliage has a peculiar down, which gives it an almost velvety appearance.
