Description:
A shrub or a small tree with an irregular caudex at the base, and big soft leaves that are kind of sticky to the touch. Flowers are shaped like a trumpet, are small in size and of a yellow color, they bloom for one day only but are regularly produced until the vegetative rest. Easy to grow, it can survive for long periods without being taken care of.

Plant care:
It requires an exposure to full sun or partial shade, when it still receives a lot of light during all seasons.
It resists well to intense heat, though, on the other hand, it is necessary to prottect it from cold and humidity when temperatures drop below 15 °C.
Water abundantly in summer, whenever the soil is dry. In winter, it is advisable to suspend watering, as long as its caudex acts as a water reserve which is sufficient for the survival of the plant.
A well-draining substrate, for example the standard one for succulents, is an optimal solution.
They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
