This plant is extremely loved by collectors, mainly for the massive caudex that grows underground but can also be exposed out of the ground, spherical in shape but not always symmetrical, with a woody and rough appearance like tree bark. The caudiciform tuber not only offers a unique scenographic effect, but above all allows the plant to withstand long periods of drought thanks to the large reserve of water stored inside it. From the caudex, in the vegetative period, light green stems branch off from which large wide and flat leaves grow, rich in delicate veins and shaped like a heart.

These plants love the sun, so you'll need to place them in a very bright location.
Temperatures below 10-16ºC could damage them.
The watering should be regular to keep the substrate moist (but never saturated) during their growing season, Spring and Summer, while in Autumn, when the leaves start to wither, you must gradually reduce the water supply until suspending it.
Require a well-drained soil to grow well.
They do not need frequent fertilizations, it is enough to dilute fertilizer with watering once a year.
