Stephania erecta (Caudex)

We are talking about a plant as rare as it is coveted, especially in recent years! The Stephania erecta is a wonderful woody caudex of asymmetrical shape, ùthat in the wilds can reach imposing dimensions among the forests of the Asian mountain areas. The caudiciform tuber performs the important function of reserve of water supply, necessary to withstand even prolonged periods of drought, but is at the same time a unique piece of furniture, perfect for any style. This plant will be even more appealing when the buds come out, which over time will become stems up to one meter long, with wonderful dark green shield-shaped leaves that are arranged like many small umbrellas with perfect geometry. Such an original and fascinating plant it’s hard to beat!
