Pterodiscus elliottii (Caudex)

Pterodiscus elliottii is a caudex plant, belonging to the Pedialiaceae family. It was discovered in 1906 by John Gilbert Bake. Its wavy leaves have a slight indentation around the edges. It blooms during summer and its funnel-shaped flowers change from dark purple to wine red.
