Pterodiscus angustifolius (Caudex)

Extremely appreciated exemplar for the showy and massive basal woody caudex, which generally takes a spherical-like shape tending sometimes to get rich of peculiar asymmetric and twisted trends, never equal from one exemplar to another. From the caudiciform tuber depart slender annual stems adorned with slender and lanceolate leaves, with evident lighter veins and surrounded by jagged margins (the very name of the species in Latin literally means "narrow leaf"). The charm of this succulent, particularly appreciated as bonsai for its precious extravagant stem, takes on a whole new look when they bloom among the showy flowers of a bright yellow, able to give the environment an unexpected liveliness!
