Decarya madagaskariensis (Caudex)

A rare succulent plant called "Zig-zag plant" for its green stem that grows in a perfect zig-zag shape. Along its stems pairs of thorns can be seen, right at the exact point, where the stem changes the direction of its growth. In nature it can reach up to 6 m in height, in cultivation it is a slow-growing plant and for this reason on the market it is often found grafted onto other plants.
