Commiphora sp. (Caudex)

A rare shrubby succulent plant that can become a bonsai, if pruned regularly. Its erect, branching grayish-green stem is covered with white to yellowish papery bark. It has numerous lance-shaped leaves of a  bright green color which are toothed at the margins. It produces a particular resin (myrrh) which is used to create an essential oil for perfumes. During the flowering period it blooms with small yellow-greenish flowers.
