Commiphora kraeuseliana (Caudex)

A rare shrubby succulent plant that, if pruned regularly, can become a bonsai. It has an erect and branched gray-brown stem, covered with a white to yellowish outer papery bark, from which needle-shaped, bright green leaves emerge. It produces a particular resin (myrrh) which is used to create an essential oil for perfumes. In the spring period small green-orange flowers bloom.
