Commiphora boranensis (red brown peeling bark) (Caudex)

A rare shrubby succulent plant that, if pruned regularly, can become a bonsai. Its stem, erect and branched, is covered with a red-brown papery bark. It has numerous lance-shaped leaves with serrated edges, of a bright green color. It produces a particular resin (myrrh) which is used to create an essential oil for perfumes. During the flowering season it blooms with small yellowish flowers.
