"Aff." in the name of this plant means "similar" (in Italian - affine), which means that Brachystelma sp. aff. has not been officially classified yet. It is a rare perennial plant with a large brown tuber (caudex), from which long erect stems with green, elliptical and silky leaves emerge. During the flowering season it blooms with star-shaped flowers of a beautiful dark purple color.
