It is an extremely rare and sought after small cactus that makes part of a monospecific genus: the Yavia cryptocarpa. In nature it grows between the cracks of the rocks, hiding inside them during the dry season and protruding during the rainy seasons to accumulate water. This behavior makes it extremely adaptable and resistant to the most arduous and wild environments! During spring this plant, which does not exceed two centimeters in size, is further "hidden" by delightful flowers with multi-layered petals in shades of pink. Despite its small size, this cactus is considered very special, a true miniature masterpiece!
