Weingartia pulquinensis (Cactus)

Beautiful globular cactus growing in the Bolivian Andes. Its green stem is equipped with rhomboid tubercles above which are located the white, downy areoles. From the areoles emerge its spines, white, thin and arranged in a radial pattern. Its beautiful yellow flowers bloom in early summer and remain open for 6 days.
