Trichocereus spachianus (Cactus)

It is a cactus exemplar often called 'Golden Torch Cereus' thanks to its gold-colored thorns. It has a cylindrical stem of green color with marked ribs, with time tends to tuft at the base. On the ribs we find the white or greyish woolly areoles from which emerge its wonderful spines. The radial spines are numerous, thin and golden yellow; the central ones are also gold, but are longer and more robust than the radials. The thorns become grayish with the passage of time. In late spring, T. spachianus will give us magnificent large night flowers. At the apex of the plant, in fact, blooms a flower that reaches even 15 cm in diameter, white and daisies.
