Trichocereus chiloensis (Cactus)

It is a columnar cactus, fiercely spiny. Over time it branches out, forming a shrub. Its robust green stem has 10-17 broad ribs, covered with downy whitish areoles, from which thick spines come out: the radial spines are creamy white color, with brown points, which with the growth of the plant become greyish; the central spines (1, but sometimes up to 4) are long and erect. In summer, you can admire its large and magnificent white flowers, tinged with red, which open up at night. Synonym: Echinopsis chiloensis var. borealis.
