Stenocereus thurberi f. variegated. (Cactus)

The varied shape of this wonderful cactus has yellowish nuances that are due to the lack of chlorophyll in the epidermis. These 'spots' will never be identical in the plants, making each specimen unique and highly sought after by collectors. The variegations also take on pink tones in some cases with prolonged exposure to the sun. In the normal form this cactus has a columnar stem and many ribs, with dark areoles from each of which sprout 5-8 black thorns, straight and protruding. In the spring period it has large inflorescences and bright colors, ranging from red to bright purple. It has a very slow life cycle, so that it can take up to 150 years to reach full maturity.
