Beautiful globose cactus native to Brazil is generally solitary but with the passage of time can also tuft creating new suckers. Its stem is intense green and has protruding tubercles. Above the tubercles develop the white fluffy areolas from which emerge its long white thorns. During growth this plant is covered entirely by a very white and soft down that gives the plant a very special appearance. Its flowers bloom during the summer; they are diurnal flowers of a color ranging from pale yellow to intense.
