Neoporteria odieri f. variegated (Cactus)

The variegated shape of this cactaceae has yellowish or reddish shades in the exact points where there is a lack of chlorophyll; such shades or spots will never be identical in plants making each of them unique in its kind and for this reason much sought after by collectors. In its normal form it is a cactus with a slightly depressed spherical shape at the apex where it develops a white fluff. Its stem is dark green but can vary from greyish green to purple. It has tuberculate and protruding ribs above which are the white and fluffy areoles from which emerge its short and whitish spines that tend to darken over time. Its inflorescences have a funnel shape as a type of this family, with colors that can vary from shades of pink to those of yellow.
