This plant, often called with the synonym Mammillaria lindsayi var. cobrensis, has an always solitary dark green stem, equipped with rhomboid tubercles with well marked and downy white areoles. The radial spines are white, short, thin and cover the body of the plant, while the central ones are slightly longer, of a red-black color, more robust and protruding towards the outside. The cactus has small funnel-shaped inflorescences, usually of a lime yellow color.
