Mammillaria compressa f. crestata (Cactus)

This cactacea has the typical crested shape with a sinusoidal pattern, always different from one specimen to another and for this reason it is so much appreciated by collectors from all over the world. In its normal form it is a spherical cactus, which as it grows takes on a "massive" appearance with the proliferation of its cylindrical club-shaped stems. Its tubercles, between which a thick fluff is formed, are very pronounced, close together and firm . The spines, which vary in color from white to brown, are very small and short. In winter and spring you can admire small bell-shaped flowers of purplish pink to deep red colour.
