M. albicans is a magnificent globe-shaped cactaceae that with growth tends to become cylindrical. It expands branching and creating new clusters. Its stem has a light green color where we find numerous tubercles, covered by thick thorns. In fact, from the woolly areoles of yellowish white colour, radial and central thorns grow. The radial thorns are thin, of white colour and the central ones are more robust and less numerous, of pale brown colour that with the passage of time becomes dark. The flowering period is summer, from June to August and we can admire , at the apex of the plant, beautiful pink flowers with central fuchsia veins.
