Gymnocalycium damsii f. monstrous (Cactus)

The monstrous shape of this cactus presents geometric anomalies, for example asymmetrical protuberances or absence of spines, different for each individual exemplar, so as to make each of them absolutely unique and, for this reason, extremely sought after by collectors. It is a small globose cactus that often tends, with time, to tuft at the base. It has well marked ribs, wide to acute, with indented protrusions similar to tubercles. Its spherical stem, depressed at the apex or at times slightly cylindrical, assumes a colouration varying from the pale green to the brownish-green. It produces flowers almost all year round, giving the locations a touch of vivacity with its notes from light pink to purple.
