Geohintonia mexicana (Cactus)

It's an extremely small cactus, highly sought after by green collectors for its rarity. It was discovered in 1992. It is a monospecific genus (unique in its genus). It is a particularly slow-growing plant, generally solitary, that can also cluster over time. It has a spherical and flattened shape and is of a blue-gray color. Its ribs are deeply furrowed and well delineated, which have barely visible areoles and microscopic whitish spines. Its tiny light magenta inflorescences with white undertones at the throat occur intermittently from spring to autumn.
