Espostoa lanata f. variegated (Cactus)

The variegated shape of the cactus has lighter areas in the exact points where the chlorophyll is absent: these characteristics will never be the same from one plant to another, so each specimen will be absolutely unique! It is a slow-growing cactus with a columnar shape that with time can branch in the upper part like a candlestick reaching, in its natural habitat, even 7 meters in height! The stem, cylindrical and erect, is entirely covered by a thick whitish and soft woolly mantle, from which emerge sparse rigid and translucent spines of yellowish color. Its funnel-shaped nocturnal blooms, which occur between late spring and early summer, have a considerable size and a coloring that can range from white to purple.
