Rare solitary plant with a monstrous shape that makes each specimen unique and therefore highly sought after by collectors from all over the world. Commonly known as "mother-in-law's pillow", it is a globular cactus with slow growth, which can create clumps over time. Its body is light green in color, slightly concave at the top, where over time a thick white fluff similar to a pillow forms. It has many well-defined ribs, with numerous fluffy areoles of white-yellowish color, from which short and rigid white thorns emerge.
