Also called "Whipple's cactus", its name honors Amiel Weeks Whipple, a Mexican engineer and surveyor. It is a beautiful cactus of an upright habit, which, over time, tends to branch off. Its green stem is completely covered with pronounced tubercles, with small elongated, downy white areoles, from which small white thin radial spines and more robust central ones emerge. From May to July you can admire its beautiful flowers. It is an easy-to-grow plant, thus perfect for beginners.
