Also called "Whipple's cactus", its name honors Amiel Weeks Whipple, a Mexican engineer and surveyor. It is a beautiful cactus with an upright habit which, over time, tends to branch off. Its green stem is completely covered with pronounced tubercles, with small elongated, downy white areoles, from which small white thin radial spines, and the central ones, which are more robust, emerge. From May to July you can admire its beautiful flowers. It is an easy-to-grow plant, thus perfect for beginners.
