Cylindropuntia echinocarpa (Cactus)

This beautiful exemplar of cactus has a green stem equipped with tubercles above which there are downy white areoles. Numerous yellow spines emerge from its areolas. During the flowering period this plant produces yellow and sometimes orange flowers.
