Coryphantha pseudonickelsiae (Cactus)

This cactus from Mexico is appreciated for its attractive appearance. Its globose stem is green with numerous rhomboid tubercles, protruding and marked. Above the tubercles are the white and fluffy areoles from where its spines come out. The radials are radially arranged and grey in colour. The central spines appear later but can also be missing in many cases, they are robust, greyish with black tips and slightly curved towards the stem. The flowers bloom at the apex of the stem of C. pseudonickelsiae , are pale yellow in colour normally, but can sometimes be reddish.
