Coryphantha compacta f. variegated (Cactus)

The variegated shape of this cactus presents the typical yellow zones in the exact points where the chlorophyll is absent: these striations will never be the same from one plant to another, therefore each specimen will be absolutely unique and, for this reason, strongly sought after by fans of succulents. It is a small cactus with an erect and solitary posture. Its stem, with a globose shape, has numerous conoidal tubercles equipped with a thick white down between them and at the apex. From the elongated areolas come out thick needle-like thorns, curved, robust and of white colour, which cover entirely the stem giving it a compact look. For this reason it was named 'C. compacta'. During the flowering period at its apex it generates big flowers, of a beautiful bright yellow.
