Description:

This perennial succulent plant is commonly called "wax plant" or "wax flower", is highly appreciated for its versatility, perfect for adorning both houses and offices. Its stems have an erect, climbing, shrubby habit, up to four meters high. It stands out from all the other Hoyas for its curious heart-shaped leaf. It blooms in summer, generating small flowers, composed of two superimposed stars; the crown of the flower is of an intense creamy white color, while the upper part takes on the appearance of a small scarlet red jewel, whose ends hide up tiny balls of nectar.

Plant care:

It requires a lot of light throughout the year, however, avoid direct sun rays, especially during the hottest hours of the day, as long as they might burn the leaves.

It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 10 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.

It is advisable to always keep the soil slightly moist, never dry. Beware of stagnant water that could cause rotting.

The best soil is a well draining one, for example formed by a mixture of peat and pumice so that the water does not stagnate.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
