Echinofossulocactus lamellosus f. variegata

Echinofossulocactus lamellosus f. variegata is a plant made special thanks to its variegation. This is clearly visible on the surface being lighter than the beautiful green color already present. This detail is given by the lack of chlorophyll in some points of the epidermis. In general, it is a globose cactus with a solitary posture. Its stem, pale green tending to olive green, concave at the apex, has several slender ribs, well grooved and with a very wavy shape, equipped with woolly white areoles. The radial spines are thin and white, while the central ones are larger, long and flat, slightly curved upwards, with a yellowish colour. The blooming takes place at the apex of the plant, generating small funnel-shaped white flowers with purple central striations.
