Description:

Agave titanota f. variegated is a unique specimen of its kind. It has yellowish spots or streaks in the exact points of the epidermis where there is a lack of chlorophyll. These spots or streaks will never be identical in two different plants, making each one very particular and extremely sought after by collectors around the world. With the passage of time and prolonged exposure to the sun it also takes on delicate pink or reddish shades. In the normal form, this rosette-shaped plant reaches up to 75 cm in diameter with growth. Its large fleshy leaves have a gray-green color with margins defined by a lignified edge equipped with rigid white-browned teeth.

Plant care:

It requires a full sun exposure, even if it can stand a partial shade one only if it receives plenty of light all year around.

It prefers rather mild temperatures, however it survives even in temperatures close to freezing if the soil is dry.

Water moderately but only when the soil is completely dry. Once every two weeks in spring and summer and once every two months in autumn and winter.

A well-draining soil is an optimal solution, even better if further enriched with inert materials such as pumice, sand or lapilli.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
