These are small round or columnar cacti, which do not grow much in size but tend to usually develop with numerous suckers around the mother plant. They are also made up of multiple tubercles, and are both reasons why some classifications prefer to identify them as a synonym of the Rebutia genus. It is a plant that does not need too many special care and, if in winter you can give it a correct and above all dry vegetative rest, in spring it will delight you with abundant corolla blooms around the stems, with bright and nuanced colors, which will last several days and will help to furnish and liven up any type of environment! Here are some simple tips for its proper care and cultivation: It likes very bright positions, while avoiding the direct rays of the sun in the hottest hours of the day. Keep it at mild temperatures and above, never below 10 ° C. It is recommended to place it in well-sheltered and ventilated places in winter. Water it moderately, always making sure that the soil is perfectly dry between one watering and the next. It is sufficient to water it once a week in spring and summer. Stop watering completely in winter. We recommend a well-draining soil, even better if further enriched with inert materials such as pumice, sand or lapillus. They do not need frequent fertilization, for this reason it will be sufficient to dilute a specific cacti fertilizer with watering once a year.
