Neoporteria huascensis

It is a globose plant with a depressed apex. It takes its name from Huasco, the place where it was discovered. It can take on various colors, from bright green to blackish-purple. As it grows, it can become slightly cylindrical, but it does not become very large. It is a species resistant to adverse weather, in fact, it can live for a long period even without water. It has white, slightly downy areoles, with greyish and not very long radial spines, in contrast to the central ones, that grow at the apex, which are much longer and black. The inflorescences show off in the most varied colors, from white to yellow, up to fuchsia and red.
