Thelocactus leucacanthus

It is a solitary cactus that clusters easily, creating a pillow of hundreds of small heads. It has a dark green globose stem, covered with very pronounced tubercles. From the downy areoles stiff cream-white spines emerge with dark, almost black tips, slightly curved towards the body of the plant. In late spring, its large flowers bloom, which vary in color from pale yellow to pink or magenta.
