It is a very rare cactus and therefore extremely sought after by collectors from all over the world. The stem is globular, sometimes slightly cylindrical, of a green-gray or rather light green color in young plants. It has white radial spines, rather short, slightly curved and almost hidden by the very woolly white areolas. It usually does not have central spines. It blooms in April and May and the color of its flower varies from white-yellow to pink-purple with a green streak. This Sclerocactus is very difficult to grow, which is why it is often grafted onto other plants to promote and speed up their growth. Such a jewel can definitely not be missing in the collections of true connoisseurs!
