Pachypodium bispinosum f. crestata

The crested shape of P. bispinosum is very rare, it gives us a beautiful fan that never looks identical from one exemplar to another and for this reason it is very sought after and appreciated by collectors all over the world. It’s a very slow-growing succulent caudiciform. It can reach the height of 1.2 m giving rise to branches armed with double straight spines, characteristic from which it takes its name. It grows in the form of a shrub, storing water in its caudex to survive drought periods. The leaves, elongated and slightly curved, have a bright green color. In the period of vegetative rest, approximately from January to May, it loses its leaves.
