Mammillaria camptotricha f. variegated

It is a small-sized cactacea of a globular shape, slightly concave at the apex. It is characterized by long and twisted spines, that completely wrap the plant, which is why it is more commonly known as "Bird's nest cactus". Its stem is green with well marked yellow streaks. It has soft, long and thin tubercles, typically found in Dolicothele, where they grow long needle-like spines of different shades of yellow. In late summer, it blooms with small white funnel-shaped flowers.
